Thanks for a thouroughly enjoyable night, with good clean fun for all ages, even my mum laughed and that says something, it brought a lump to my throat to see my son laugh again with his friends as if nothing had happened. It cheered up what had been a rather daunting 9 months. We will post again to let you know how much has been raised. We wish you well I am sure you will go far.

Acoustic Rotherham 25thJuly 2009 (2 reviews) Hi Dominic, Your set yesterday afternoon was one of the funniest sets I've seen in a very long time - reminded me very much of my own hero the Jon Isherwood, and of course Jasper the Great when he roamed the Folk Clubs. I've a few ideas where you'll go down a real treat - and of course the Festival circuit has to be a must And thanks again for coming yesterday - you provided us with a great laugh - you know how us Folkies can take ourselves a little bit too seriously on occasions. Best wishes to you mate. Richard And then for something completely different. Dominic Collins from the Manchester Folk circuit. Dominic works what I consider to be the most difficult end of the musical genre, comedy. Within seconds of starting his first song he had the room bursting with laughter, which lasted the entire twenty five minutes of his set. His self written material is brilliantly crafted and the basic delivery somehow adds to the performance. Great stuff. Martin the Land Lord wants him back at The Monkwood Hotel very soon

Sorry for not doing this sooner, but with everything that has gone on an then having to sort Christmas out, this is the first time I've had ten minutes to sit at the computer. Thanks for performing at the Labour Club in Stalybridge after my mum's funeral. Everybody I've spoke to felt that it was a great way to send mum on her way with a smile as she would have liked. Your performance was great as always and it was a nice way to remember her by. Hope you had a great Christmas and Best Wishes for the new year which will hopefully be prosperous both personally and professionally.

In my honest opinion I thought that you performed absolutely brilliantly last night, taking everything and the particular venue into consideration you had that audience in your hand.and even those that sadly we all consider to be a bit unwell and not really with it if you like, responded to you, your jokes and your songs. It was bloody marvellous and I will always be in your debt.in some ways it was a pity you had the other Charity gig the same night as I feel sure that you could have quite easily done a full hour or even more !.as each few minutes went by the audience warmed to you even more and I'm sure you noticed and felt it yourself. I would have liked to have had more work in hand so that we could have used the time to develop what you do, but I really can't see any problems ahead if you continue as you are.improving and becoming more confident with every gig. I like the facts. they are. almost all the audience was laughing at the songs and the jokes, now that must be something of a feather in your cap in view of the type of audience we had.sad really but sadly no one knows just what these poorly people are thinking.last night we saw that despite their handicaps. they are more than capable of still enjoying themselves, once again Thank you

Once again Chris and I want to tell you how much your help and Jeff's assistance means to us as fibromites. We feel we are in an uphill struggle to raise awareness and bring this rotten debilitating disease to the notice of the government and the public our enthusiasm, encouragement and help has certainly made that struggle easier. On behalf of the fibromyalgia community, Fibro What? CD, the forthcoming book PAIN 24/7 The Fibromyalgia Jigsaw I am sure the music and words you composed will speed up the publication of the book and help the book achieve its mission - help others and raise funds for research. It has been a long hard struggle but with friends like you the path has been much easier. Thank you again and again and even again. You are a Star

I recently booked Dom for a Charity Fund Raising Concert which I was hosting and those who attended the evening at Middlewich British Legion Club are still reeling with laughter. I don't know where Dom draws his inspiration and ideas from; I can only testify that they work. In a world where today's comedy entertainment scene is all too often dominated by bad language, poor taste and a general lack of failing to get to grips with exactly what real comedy is about, Dominic Collins blows in like a breath of fresh air across a scene which is struggling to breathe.Well Done Dom
